Dear Reader,
In this issue we take a look at technical trading, and we are very pleased to lead off with an article by a true market guru. Linda Bradford Raschke is one of today's most sought-after speakers at investment conferences across the country. In this excerpt from a new book edited by Rick Bensignor and published by Bloomberg Press, identifies swing trading as one of the underlying principles of technical analysis and explains its use. I'd like to extend my personal thanks to Christina Palumbo of Bloomberg L.P. for her assistance in presenting this fine article.
We follow that up with an article by Trader regular Mike Kahn on an introduction to candlestick charting. For you options traders, Phillip Wiegand helps you to translate the "Greeks" into profits. Then, in the spirit of the elections, frequent contributors Alex Saitta and Yuxin Li shed some light on the relationship between politics and the markets.
Adrienne Toghraie explains the need to create better anchors to enhance your trading performance in "Mind Over Money," Roy Lindsay discusses on balance volume and how it can help you to identify trends in "Puts & Calls," Brad "Dr. Index" Zigler explains the significance of the S&) and Russell indexes, and Bob Ecob gives his insight into "What's' Hot and What's Not."
