Dear Reader,
When it comes right down to it, the only thing we have to base our trading decisions upon is data... and it comes in many forms. We kick off this issue with a look at what CRB has to offer traders and analysts. Once you've developed your trading system, Jerry Mullins discusses how you can use data to verify it reliability in his look at backtesting. From the U.K., Paul MacGregor sheds some light on LIFFE's exchanged-related data in the International Corner. Bob Pelletiet of CSI is back with a look at how computed contracts can assist you in your trading. And sometimes the data you need can be found in unusual places. Al Feng looks to his history books for the Kondratieff perspective.
Analysts Alex Saitta has also contributed a fine piece on long-term market sentiment and Adrienne Toghraie reveals hoe guilt can affect our lives... and our trading. Regular contributor Bob Ecob gives his take on What's Hot and What's Not and Michael Kahn is in the Chartist corner with this issue's lesson on momentum.
We also invite you to take a look at our newly expanded Classified Section... a roundup of some products and services that should be of interest to traders.
In the May/June issue we visit the topic of Trading Tools. The techniques all traders carry around in their bags of tricks that allow them to spot the good trades.
