Dear Reader,
Electronic Trading seems to be the concept of the future. In this issue we take a look at the current state of electronic access to futures and options markets. I have written an overview which suggests that you may want to carefully consider whether you are ready for it. Bill Kaiser sheds light on ZAP, a product designed to bring electronic trading to your desktop. John Hunter gives us a primer on the global foreign exchange market. We have also prepared a preview of the trading tools you can find on the net at www.crbindex.com . Veteran trader Dick Crews provides a counterpoint to the electronic hoopla and encourages traders to use their "internal computer" with his Surprise Index.
Regular contributor Adrienne Toghraie gets into your head once again to talk about "scared money" and Michael Kahn is in the Chartist Corner to talk about log scales. Jaye Abbate is back with another timely book review and Bob Ecob sums up which markets are hot and which are likely to get hot. Analyst Alex Saitta takes a look at seasonal patterns in the T-bond market. And finally, the Trader's Coach solves your trading problems.
In the March/April issue we will look at the subject of Data. What is it, how do we get it, and what can we do with it.
