- 1997: Volume 6, No. 6 |
Dear Reader,
In this issue we explore the topic of technical trading... certainly an area of vital importance to anyone trading today's volatile markets. We kick it off with a collection of technical tips which has been assembled by frequent contributor Walter Burke and his associates at MCM MoneyWatch. Then Peter Steidlmayer and Steven Hawkins offer a discussion of Capital Flow Database and its relationship to market efficiency. Mike Oyster of the Investment Research Institute has put together a look at contrarian investing and presents his thoughts on how to make it work for you.
We are also pleased to offer all of our regular departments: U.K. contributor Paul White give his thoughts on targeting reversal points in the U.K equity market in the International Corner; Michael Kahn discusses spreads in the Chartist Corner; Adrienne Toghraie looks at the impact of trauma on our trading lives in "Buried Alive;" Jaye Abbate gives us a peak at Berie Schaeffer's new book; and Bob Ecob keeps us up to date on What's Hot and What's Not.
In the January/February issue we will re-visit the topic of Electronic Trading. This is an area that generated a lot of interest the last time we explored it and developments seems to evolve before our ink has a chance to dry!
