Dear Reader,
Welcome to the Expo issue of CRB Trader. It's hard to believe that this is the thirteenth year that futures and options professionals from around the globe have gathered in Chicago. Far from being an "unlucky" number, this 13th Expo has a lot to offer as you'll see in Tracy Wahler's story.
Our topic this month is Broker Services and we are pleased to present the views of two futures professionals. John Welsh of Rand Financial Services discusses the importance of knowing your broker. Mary Black of Lind-Waldock approaches the trader/broker relationship from the perspective of technology and value added services.
Of course, you'll still find our regular contributors... the International Corner features two articles this month. Michael Kahn is in the Chartist Corner to let the market do the talking. Adrienne Toghraie takes a contrarian point of view. The Trader's Coach is back with answers to your questions. Tory Quiggle and Peter Georgantones are back their insight into the bond and soybean markets. And Chris Meyers has his reviews of the latest books by Howard Abell and Tom DeMark.
In the November/December issue we will spotlight Technical Trading... always one of our best-read issues.
We are now in the process of developing our 1998 editorial calendar. We are looking for suggestions as to what you would like to see in the pages of the CRB Trader.
