If you do not already have a CRB DataCenter Startup CD, containing historical data beginning January 2000, and wish to Download and Install the CRB PowerSystem Software now; Click here to request a CD (new window)

The CRB PowerSystem Software includes the following programs:

• CRB PowerLink - Retrieves data and report files from the CRB DataCenter servers.
• CRB PowerDist - Distributes downloaded files to PRO format.
• CRB PowerGen - Generates custom Nearby, Continuation, and Most Active data series
• CRB PowerPro - Manages data in PRO format.

STEP 1: Downloading CRB PowerSystem Software

• Click here to download PowerSystem Software for VantagePoint 6.4
  
  

• MS Internet Explorer Users: Right-click link; select Save Target As...; Save in: Desktop or other location
  
• Netscape Users: Right-click link, select Save Link As...; Save in: Desktop or other location

STEP 2: Installing CRB PowerSystem Software

After downloading PowerSystem.msi to your computer, select Open OR double-click the file to install.

You will get the message “Welcome to CRB PowerSystem for VantagePoint Setup Wizard”.

• Click Next
• Check I accept the terms in the license agreement
• Click Next
• Click Next
• Click Install to begin the installation
• Click Finish to Launch CRB PowerSysten

Once the installation is complete, you will need to retrieve Data from CRB DataCenter.

STEP 3: Retrieving Data from CRB DataCenter

An Internet connection is required to proceed.

1. Launch CRB PowerLink: Use the CRB PowerLink shortcut on Desktop OR
Click Start > Programs > CRB PowerSystem > CRB PowerLink

2. Click Next to proceed to Connection Settings.

3. Enter First Name, Last Name, Phone Number and Email Address

4. Click OK to proceed
(retrieves subscription information from CRB servers and displays Package Settings)

Data Packages have been preset

5. Packages (left): Select Futures (Major Markets Futures Prices)

6. Package Setup (right): Select Download data since selected date from drop-down.

7. Select the Date to be downloaded.

Monthly Data files are available beginning January 2004.

8. Click Apply Selection to complete setup

9. Click Next to proceed to Download Summary

10. Verify the Dates to be retrieved then click Next to proceed. (displays Download Process while retrieving requested files from CRB servers)

11. Click Done to proceed to Distribution Wizard (launches CRB PowerDist)

Data Packages have been preset

12. Click Next to proceed to Distribution Summary

13. Click Next to Distribute data from CRB DataCenter (approximately 10 minutes (350mhz))

14. Click Done when Distribution is complete

Congratulations! You have completed the initial setup for downloading and distributing your End-of-Day data. To update, use the CRB PowerSystem - Silent Mode shortcut on the Desktop, OR

Click Start > Programs > CRB PowerSystem > CRB PowerSystem - Silent Mode

Once you receive the CRB DataCenter Startup CD, you will need to distribute the Historical Data from the CD.

STEP 4: Distribution of Historical Data from Startup CD

1. Launch CRB PowerDist: Use the CRB PowerDist shortcut on Desktop OR
Click Start > Programs > CRB PowerSystem > CRB PowerDist

2. Select Startup CD or InfoTech CD from the Source drop-down

3. Click Next to proceed to Distribution Wizard

Data Packages have been preset

4. Click Next to proceed to Distribution Summary

5. Click Next to Distribute data from CD (approximately 30 minutes (350mhz))

6. Click Done when Distribution is completed
