The CRB PowerSystem Software includes the following programs:
- CRB PowerLink - Retrieves data and report files from the CRB DataCenter servers.
- CRB PowerDist - Distributes downloaded files to PRO, Meta (CompuTrac (MetaStock)), and ASCII (.CSV) formats.
- CRB PowerGen - Generates custom Nearby, Continuation, and Most Active data series (formerly DataXtract)
- CRB PowerSignals - Technical Analysis software.
- CRB PowerPro - Manages data in PRO and Meta formats.
If you do not already have a CRB DataCenter Startup CD, containing historical data, and wish to Download and Install the CRB PowerSystem Software now; Click here to request a CD (new window) THEN proceed to STEP 1 below.
STEP 1: Downloading CRB PowerSystem Software
MS Internet Explorer Users: Right-click link; select Save Target As...; Save in: Desktop or other location
Netscape Users: Right-click link, select Save Link As...; Save in: Desktop or other location
STEP 2: Installing CRB PowerSystem Software

After downloading PowerSystem.msi to your computer, select Open OR double-click the file to install.
You will get the message "Welcome to CRB PowerSystem". Click Next. Check I accept the license agreement by clicking in the white circle next to the text and then click Next. The Default Destination folder is C:\Program Files\CRB\. This should be fine for most users, however you may change the directory by clicking Browse. Click Next. Click Next to begin the installation. Click Finish to complete setup.
Proceed to Retrieving Data and Reports from CRB DataCenter
- CD
Insert the CD into the CD ROM Drive. The CD should automatically start the installation program. If you experience problems, you can manually run the installation by clicking on Start > Run and then type in D:\PowerSystem.msi.exe (where D: is your CD ROM drive).
You will get the message "Welcome to CRB PowerSystem Software Installation". Click Next. Check I accept the license agreement by clicking in the white circle next to the text and then click Next. The Default Destination folder is C:\Program Files\CRB\. This should be fine for most users, however you may change the directory by clicking Browse. Click Next. Click Next to begin the installation. Click Finish to complete setup.
STEP 3: Distribution of Historical Data from CD
NOTE: We recommend distributing the Historical Data from the Startup CD FIRST, then proceeding to STEP 4 to update the data, however, you may skip to STEP 4 now and distribute the data from the CD once you receive it.

NOTE: Monthly Data files are available beginning January 1, 2004.
